The Brigham Eyebrow Tool for Alopecia (BETA) and The Brigham Eyelash Tool for Alopecia (BELA) have been developed at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to provide a more precise instrument for assessing this crucial dimension of Alopecia.

Thalocan Research Innovations has partnered with Arash Mostaghimi, MD, MPA, MPH to develop a comprehensive training for the BETA and BELA to accompany The Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT), training for a robust and high quality Alopecia assessment curriculum. Our mission is to support clinical raters with a clear understanding of the scoring criteria for these essential scales to improve data quality and understanding in Alopecia Areata research
